I Done My Oil Change But...

...Jeeez I started to get worried when I tried to get the filter off !! who the hell put it on? did they wrench it on???? I put the wrench on and started to undo it, but it didn't budge, just sarted to crumble and eventualy split and oil pouring out , well I persevered and eventually it came off, what a relief.

I went to Inchcape and got Toyota filter plus 10w 40 oil...£30 . I normally go to a motorist centre but opted to get it from the toyota dealer this time.

You'll often find that some eejit has put it on too tight, but you wont have that problem again since im sure you only hand tightened the new filter

You'll often find that some eejit has put it on too tight, but you wont have that problem again since im sure you only hand tightened the new filter

I sure did, for a novice there is a temptation to over do it... but I did see instructions on the filter saying to "use the toyota special tool " to wang it on another 3/4 's of a turn after the faces meet , but hand tight was good enough for me,checked it 24 hrs later no leaks.
