Hi,

Will it void your insurance if you install bits above to the tsport and not tell them about it?

I know lots of people that dont. Can you get away with it?

You'll get away with it until you have a crash. Then you're in trouble as they will use it as an excuse to avoid paying out.

Even a set of alloys that have been put on your car and the insurance havnt been informed can void your payout if you have an accident if the insurance company find out.My wife works in insurance and says if they find anything on the car that they havnt been informed about they will not payout.

Its a risk but many people do it

Depending on your age you'd be surprised how little it may add to your premium! When I had my T Sport I had just turned 25 with 4 years NCB. I declared lowering springs, tints, alloys, induction kit, exhaust and Dastek Unichip (which never actually got fitted :crybaby: ) and my annual premium was £485. I think it went up by £50. I went through Adrian Flux.

By comparison, my standard Civic TypeR was costing me £945 a year for me that was THE biggest selling point for the T Sport...
