Paul, the arty farty photography was unintentional, honest. The colour is lagoon blue mica, looks

good with chrome stuff, I've been looking on web for chrome parts to put on grille. T180/ hi-lux style.

Have not found any yet, though there seems to be plenty of other chrome parts for mirror backs, light

protectors etc.

Cheers,

Dave.

Dave,

I do like the blue - just couldn't get one for love nor money in that colour when I bought my XT-R last year, so ended up with a silver one instead!!!

Sywy,

Thats the 1st T180 I've seen in the Slate Blue - looks cool

I have no idea where the thread is for photo's either - suppose we could start a new one though..........

Simon, I've just seen a RAV4 XTR in the showroom, and it too has no spare wheel like yours. Does that mean it has the dreaded tyre inflation kit like our RX8s?

Hi Anil,

I see you have sold the RX now :(

Maybe we should rename this the ex-RX8 owner's thread :D

Anyway, i believe the XTR had the tyre repait kit (same as the RX8). I think I read that here (EDIT: In this thread.), as the XTR was not out when I was looking, so don't know much about it. There are a few XTR owners on here, so maybe they can confirm. Good luck in your search.

Cheers mate.

Yes, the 8 is reluctantly going this weekend.

I like the XTR but I really wish they would do an auto in the diesel.

Test driving it soon.

Anil. :)

Hi AnilS

Yet another RX8 owner moving over to toyota, although I do understand your circumstances.

Funny how were all starting to move over from the rx8ownersclub to the toyotaownersclub slowly but surely

Nice also to see my original post has been hi-jacked with pictures of other peoples RAV's, certainly boosted my posts up, oh and made me jealous :yahoo:

Can someone tell me how to post a picture, as I have already said, im picking the RAV up on saturday but I already have a picture and would like to share what I have decided upon (although from my descriptions already im sure you can guess).

There seems to be quite a lot of controversy about the lack of a spare wheel.

I have been driving for 30 years (for heavens sake am I that old!?) and I can't remeber a tyre going instantly flat. They nearly always get a nail or other object in them and start to go flat gradually. I think my spare wheel is a waste fo money sitting on the back door and would be quite happy with a tin of squirty stuff to get me home. As long as it reflects in the purchase price of the vehicle and then in however much fuel it saves in carrying the thing around.

In any case it looks ugly and it is a pain in the backside as it lights up every time you press the brake at night. It is also a swine to wash around.

I wouldn't really want run flat tyres and I don't like tyre pressure warning systems but I wouldn't run out and buy a spare wheel if I got an XTR either.

I once had a clutch go but I don't carry one of them either :P

Just my take on it

Chris, didn't mean to hijack :)

I joined this club back in 2004, when we had our Yaris and was looking to replace it with a RAV then. Came here for helpful advice ............................... bought a Golf GTI instead

Looking at RAV to help me rehabilitate from my knee op (its a height thing :P )

Drove the XTR back to back against a new Outlander, and there was nothing in it

Points to ponder
