Internet Content Blocking

afternoon all.....

A quick one really for those who let their kids use the internet.

do you use any software for blocking unappropriate content? If so which ones?

I've just got Broadband sorted out in the new house & the G/F's kids (7 & 10) want to use the internet.

who is your provider (ISP)? Sometimes they will have a few tools to manage safe sites etc...

I have setting in my Linksys router allowing me to block sites/key words ...... might be worth a look to see if your router can do it to

Yep..i was gonna suggest a Netgear router. You can add words/websites into a filter to block anything nasty :)

i'm trialing K9 - for a freeby its pretty good.

ISP is Orange BB - & the router is the crappy livebox with no content filtering.

i'm going to grab one of the netgears from work tomorrow. mind you if this K9 works i'll keep the livebox & the VOIP port :D
