A boost controller cant adjust how rich you are, but running more boost is going to make things hotter. Can turn it down a bit and see if that helps for a temp fix. How bright does it get? and after how long driving?

If the cat is goosed, sounds like a good reason for a decat :D

its only a low orange glow and the cars not doing any thing it shouldnt temperature guage always reads about half as it normally does, it does it after about 25 mins of driving on motorway at 70, i was told that she could be running lean so i might need to make her runa bit richer i was thinking about getting a sard fuel regulator?

It's fine they all heat up with motorway driving, as the ecu goes into economy mode during crusing and lean the mixture out and retards ignition thus causing increase manifold temps.

If it's ok with normal town driving I would worry.

I've had mine glowing nicely through the bonnet vent, but not unless i've been hammering it :D

could be the cat or any other part of the exhaust. if the monolith of the cat or the baffles in the exhaust break up and partially block the system then the exhaust gases will not flow as free as they should, causin pressure build up.
