Head Gasket

have a 1991 hilux surf 2.5 on sun coming down the motorway it overheated ,had it checked and the headgasket is gone,been told by a garage that to change the gasket is an 18hour job!.and that the head might be cracked,but from another source that an ali head will warp but not crack,anybody with advice or experience in this ,your help would be most appreciated....

The 2.4 Surf has a cast iron head, and the heads do crack, so your best bet is to ring Tony at http://www.4x4toys.co.uk/index.html .
