I am looking to do some cheap mods for my black corolla, I am graduating in a few weeks from ym uni course, looking at tinting in the next few weeks but are there any cheap/discounted things I could do, I don't mind advertising either so if you wanna slap a few stickers on then feel free, let us know if you know of anything

To be homest the car looks pretty good as it is. You could probably pick up some cheap alloys to make it look a bit better but and other mods like like tints tend to leave the car with that 'chav' look. To be honest if you car isn't very sporty to begin with there is little point in trying to make it go marginally faster. You would be better off saving the your money and actually buying a faster car. You don't have to spend the earth either you can pick up any number of fast old jap car for sub £1500. In the past couple of years i've owned a MR2 Mk1, 200sx, celica gen 5, Sera and i've just bought a corolla Gti. All were in good condition and bar the sera (which has your corolla engine & an auto box = slow) where pretty quick.

Just my 2p.

definatly go for some alloys then, i do like the shape. I don't wanna mess with the engine cause it'll hike up my insurance. Just a few cosmetic touches would make it perfect. still not bad for £700 I think

Thanx :D

buy some engine cleaner / gunk spray (cost a couple of quid from local motor factors or halfords) spray it all over and jet wash it off - personally i'd say leave the engine running and then do it... others will say get it to a hot temp, switch it off and then clean and start it up once you have finished...

I'd go for some white blinkers.

I'll advise you to buy the 03-06 Avensis side-blinkers - the front-corners... Dunno where you can get them unless you wanna pay the danish taxes and the transport from here to UK ;)

You can see how smooth your front will loke like here:

Sadly, I don't have a good picture of the side blinker...

I reckon you'd be looking at a total bill of something like 50-80£.

The car look fine to me even without the tints. A toyota exhaust tip is a good and cheap upgrade to add points to your rear. Another upgrade to look foward to is your toyota wheels. Are those wheels covered with hubcap? or they are original rim design?
