hi eveyone. I was reading the stack of paperwork that came with my Yaris passport and there was a leaflet that was full of accessories. I noticed on the list that there was on option for rear Speakers and an active subwoofer. I was just wondering if anyone on here has had either of them fitted? If so what are they like and were are they fitted in the car. Im really interested as im wanting to fit rear Speakers but would like them fitted in the place where they were designed to fit rather than having to cut up the parcel shelf. Thanks for looking at this thred and i look forward to hearing from you's. Cheers Chris.

it would be better to go to a local car audio store and buy the stuff from them, it will be cheaper and better quality.

i agree with jay dh.

we bought the rear speaker kit for our yaris and its a waste of money. the Speakers are awful.

I'd go down to Halfords, buy yourself a set of pioneers or something and then cut the shelf up. Even with the official toyota kit, you have to cut the shelf up anyway.

I had the toyota sub in my car when I bought it, not brilliant but it adds a tiny bit of punch :)

If your not for massive bass get an under seat sub from alpine and some decent quality 6x9's shouldnt set you back more than £200 and far better than Toyota stuff costing that price!

Thanks for all your help guys but my car is less then three years old so i cant really touch it the moment? Does anyone have any pictures of the standard Speakers or the subwoofer so i can see what they look like? what i was thinking of doing was to get the standard Speakers fitted and then upgrading them once the warrenty is up. It'll save me having to take the car apart and all the cable will have been ran for me so all i have to do is buy the right size Speakers and swap them. That'd be a 10 minute job instead of maybe a couple of hours taking the dashboard apart and taking up the carpet to run the cables to the back ect. thanks for your help so far, cheers chris
