Well, it'd help if you mentioned the year of the Celica you're on about and where in the world :crybaby:

So here's the stats from the 1994 - 1999 6th generation Celica in the UK.

ST = 114bhp (0-60mph in 10.0 seconds)

GT = 168bhp (0-60mph in 7.9 seconds)

Maybe there's something I've missed also, like the earlier model (1994-1996?) GT having 174bhp? As I recall bhp figures going up and down for various MR2's with the same 3SGE engine :wacko:

the question he asked was whether they were the same!!!!he didn't ask for all the specs of different years and types :angry:

we could be here all night because there are so many different models!!

anyhow,he owns a 89 convertable not a generation 6!!!and might i add-it has a 3s-fe engine not 3s-ge which have different heads!!

Don't know where you got your GT stats from but are as follows

3SFE - 140bhp

3SGE- 181bhp!!! ;)

Oh no not this old chestnut again. :lol:

Official UK Figures

Toyota 1.8 ST 114BHP Top Speed of 124 0-60 in 10

Toyota 2.0 GT 173BHP Top Speed of 139 0-60 in 7.9

GT used 3S-GE engine, certain celicas used the 3S-FE which produces 140bhp approx but it is unlikely that the UK cars ever used the 3S-FE. So far every 3S-FE i have seen in an import.

:hokus-pokus:

ST and GT engines are not the same.

Which generation Celica is it? because the 5th gen came out in Japan in October 1989.

So could be a late gen 4 or early gen 5.

UK spec ST162 Celica GTs only had the 3S-GE
