Good Garage Or Toyota Mechanic

Hi All

Does anyone know of either a reputable garage or good mechanic near the Heathrow area?

I've got overheating problems with my RAV4 and need to get it diagnosed and fixed before the sumer gets here.

I've checked all the usual things such as blocked rad, air leaks, water leaks, thermostat etc.

I don't think it is the head gasket as I'm not getting any of the symptoms such as coolant loss or white smoke, there's no water in the oil and as far as I can tell there is no oil or exaust gases in the water. Both the fans work correctly and the car seems to start and drive too smoothly for a major problem but I could be wrong.

We flushed the radiator through just to make sure that it wasn't blocked and it seems to flow OK.

So now I think it is time to give it to a profesional to diagnose it for me, but having been taken for a ride in the past I need a Garage or good Mechanic to have a look at it and not want to pay off their mortgage in one go, I need them to first diagnose it and then if possible give a quote to put it right so I can budget for it. I know this is probably asking too much but thought that there must be soomeone out there that can diagnose it first rather than just replace parts as a process of ilimination.

Hi Chris,

From personal experience I would recommend Octagon Toyota in Bracknell. Our family has used them for over ten years and never had any thing but excellent service. Having said that, we’ve only every required general servicing from them, and not a diagnosis of faults.
