:( The engine warning light comes on intermitently. The car is a 2004 1.4 corolla t2. The garage has changed the crankshaft position sensor and the electronic management unit but the fault still happens. Has anyone else experienced this type of fault. The car is almost out of waranty.

yes me too... i have brought my car to the toyota garage to fix it more than many times in the last few years... but it comes on again after a week later... so i cant be bother with it... as the car seems no problem at all. So every time i do the service.. i tell them not to worry... as they charge money for turning that off...

overall, i just want to tell u that the enigne warning light has already comes on for a year... and there is nothing wrong to my engine at all.

hi, had similar sounding problem on my '03 1.4 T3. After a couple trips to and fro dealer it turned out to be the vvti controller that had failed. It was replaced twice as first one resulted in lack of power especially on hills. All was done on warranty as it only happend with about 2 months left and finally sorted after it expired. Hope this helps
