Alarm System

morning all,

anothrt question i have regarding my d4d t3s is how/can you test the alarm system?as i have got no info regarding the alarm system either so am just setting the alarm with 2 presses of the key fob,is this right?when i think the alarm is set i have tried rocking the car to set the alarm off(just so i know what sound it is) and nothing happens, so again not sure if i have armed it correctley?

any help would be great.

Two presses is correct. To test it - how about leaving a window open when locking the car. Then wave your arm through the open window - I would imagine that should trigger the movement sensors.

thanks for the advice mate,will try it out now and annouy the neighbours.

I found using a pressure washer to wash the car was enough to set off the alarm. I think the alarm system is set for a jolt rather than rocking motion otherwise high winds/passing traffic would set them off.

Maybe a sharp thump on a window will be enough to set it off, but try it at your peril-you may smash the glass if you don't know your own strength!
