hi all,

iv recently bought a 52 plate celica t-sport and real chuffed with it :yahoo: , but id like to sharpen up the brakes a bit as the seems to be no effect for the 1st 1/3 of the peddle. iv checked the pads and fluid ,and i did notice that all the celicas i test drove were like it so dont think the is anythink wrong with it.

any ideas :help: ??????

by the way - looks a cracking site  and some very nice motors from the members

cheers

Hi,

Did you check the inside faces of the brake discs too? Celicas are well known to have rusty/badly corroded inner faces. It may require a skim or if they are too thin possibly new discs altogether.

Maybe try bleeding the fluid to see if you have any air in the system, it maybe due a complete fluid change (recommended every 2 years)

thanks mart,

i cant remember looking to hard at the back of the discs so il get the wheel off again at work next week and check the back of the disc, but i would hope its not that or air in the brakes. as the garage i bought it off where ment to have had it fully serviced and MOT by toyota( which is stamped and dated in the book)

thanks again
