Yep, have a look on maplins site. either jack plugs and sockets, or XLR plugs and sockets will work nicely. Both designed for audio. jack is cheap and cheerful, but may become disconnected, or generally just a bit rubbish over the course of time. XLR's are fantastic, and lock in to each other, with much better connectivity that'll stand the test of time, with the slight prob that they're a bit heavy (few hundred grams - so nothing major!), but might still pull on your wires a bit if you're not careful.

I did a mates install in a Corsa many moons ago... 2x 6x9 in a custom parcel shelf, and XLR plugs on the end of each speaker cable. Then put some flush XLR sockets in the plastic covering in the inside of the boot, and just colour coded them for left and right. Worked a treat.

Yeah as above these are easy to do, although i really wouldnt recommend using these in a parcel shelf thinner then mine, i have em in a 18mm mdf shelf and its starting to sag slightly from the weight!
