Does anyone know if the new 1.8 SR's LED style rear lights can be fitted to the new 1.3petrol & 1.4 diesel SR's

- or the rest of the current range for that matter ?

They can!

But I think you may need a rather large wallet ;)

There's always a snag but they do look nice - any idea how much - break it gently!

I have currently got an enquiry in with my local Toyota Parts guy, as I am considering updating my rear light units.......................I will let you know when he gets back to me

Cheers - but when you do best just whisper it quietly.

LOOK SLOWLY

Lamp unit £103-82 Each

Gasket £9-58 each

Bulbholder £14-49 each

All plus VAT and of course two (Left/ Right) are required

What is a little disturbing is that they could not price the bulbs or confirm if they are in fact LED or just bulbs that give the appearance of LED's

As the guy in the parts place said....................Its a lot of money just for a cosmetic improvement :(

Would rather have an alarm and a sunroof on the SR than LED rear lights

Just got over the shock - will be sticking with the originals.

Dealer fitted, it would probably work out at £400 plus - that should see them remain exclusive to the 1.8's.

Rather have rear discs and non 'keep fit' rear windows.

Hasn't all NA spec Yaris cars got LED tails? Or perhaps it was the opposite, NA guys are looking for JDM tails?

It's a bit strange what Toyota have done with the new SR range.

The 1.8 has analogue dials, unique front/rear bumpers, 17" alloys, LED rear lamps, VSA, unique seating material and the car sits a little lower.

On the other hand, the 1.3 petrol and 1.4 diesel SR's are exactly T-Spirit spec. plus a roof spoiler, chrome exhaust trim and door sill garnishes. In spite of these additions, they are also over £600 cheaper than the T-Spirit.

Strange but true!

Who would now buy a new T-Spirit ??????????

Oh, I forgot, the 1.3 petrol & 1.4 diesel SR's have the same size alloys as the T-Spirit (15") but are supplied with a different pattern which Toyota refer to as turbine style - they are listed as 'Antibes'

Not sure why Toyota did not make all SR's in the same style as the 1.8 and price them accordingly. After all, if they are badged as SR's they should at least appear the same bodywise.

Yes, elsewhere in Europe, this is the T Sport. Not sure why Toyota didn't call it that here. Perhaps they were worried that people might pick up on the fact it isn't that sporty! :P

They do look good and would be the only new body Yaris I'd consider tbh.

pick up my yaris d4d sr on the 26th of this month, i agree they should have all been the same style, i would have paid the extra for bodykit etc to make it look better, but i guess will have to settle for a set of aftermarket alloys i guess, still a lovely car though cant wait :)

Yes the non 1.8 SR's are still very nice indeed and good value compared to a new T-Spirit. Initially I had reservations with the 15" Antibes style alloys but after seeing them in the flesh I think they look very nice if not quite up to the 1.8's 17inchers.

On my Venetian Silver MMT 1.3, I would have liked the VSC & Traction Control option (standard fit on the 1.8's) but was told it would take 12 weeks to arrive - so I declined!! Have got the Sat Nav & HFT bluetooth options though.

I'm probably in the minority but if only they had done the 1.8 with a auto/semi auto option.

What colour are you going for? - bet you can't wait for the 26th.

The 17's look the nicer but the ride quality on the standard 15's is superior.

Comes down to personal preference really.

Nearly went for red myself - looks very nice and responds well to buffing up.
