Just Bought An 02 Yaris

Hi,

Just bought an Silver 3 door 02 Yaris 1.0 GLS (1 lady owner, 39k miles, full T history) for £4275 from an independent dealer... Did seem a bit pricey but overall quite happy with the purchase!

Just had a few q's if anyone could help it's be much appreciated!

1. Is it possible to get PDC (Park distance control) or similar as me mom is finding it difficult judging the front and rear distances?

2. What are the normal servicing costs - do they vary between dealers or are they a set price?

3. Are there any known problems to look out for on this car?

Hi there and welcome. I just bought a Yaris aswel. The people on this form are very good and have helped me atlot with the few questions ive asked them so far. In the Yaris passport that you should have got with your Yaris there is a page full of accsesories that you can get fitted. Parking sensors are one of them but i think they would be quite pricey. You can get a universal kit that plugs into your cigar lighters from woolworths for about £40. As for servicing costs from what ive heard they are quite good. As for problems the only ones ive got so far is getting used to the clutch(its very light next to my prevous car) and the mirrors made a funny whistling sound but thats a common problem that ive now fixed. Apart from that i think you'll grow to love the Yaris because i know i have with mine.

That's a close spec to mine, apart from mine being a yellow 5 door 51 reg.
