Just recently my boot lid wont stay up by it's own.

How does it work?

Is it because its a 16 year old car and its worn out?

I'll have a closer look tomorrow if its not raining. Is it a big job changing the shagged spring?

Nope its not difficult, 2 bolts on the bootlid, and I think 2 bolts to the car body, will take 2 mins to replace.........

Your worry is the cost of a replacement........... About £40 from Toyota

I'll try and get a second hand one or take one off the old sun lounger!

I bought my Rev3 with a knackered boot spring. I am pretty sure I was informed there was a difference in boot springs between the revisions due to the weight change (different spoiler et al...)
