Wheel Nuts!

Hello

I was trying to fit alloys to my Corolla today 96 Ae102 4e-fe. The wheels have the correct offset and pcd but when the wheel is on the hub there is not enough of the wheel stud sticking out ie i can only get the nuts on halfway.

Has anyone else enountered this problem and is there a straightforward solution other than just sticking the steelies back on? :help:

Ta

Hi are you changing from steel wheels to alloys?

If you are and you are using your nuts from the steel wheel then it wont work. You need to buy some alloy wheel nuts as these are longer.

If you are changing from alloy to alloy...then you have a problem!

Hi smoftah

Yes I am changing from steel to alloy and I am using the original nuts. Are we talking about the same thing? These are old fashioned wheelnuts, not bolts, ie just the hex bit with no bolt attached?

Thanks
