I think it needs a test drive by a CTS owner. My first impressions are 131 hp not bad for a 1.8 as the original 1zz-fe engine which the CTS 2zz-ge is based on was quite nippy. I think that was punching 138 hp. One thing is it has a lot of torque, so in gear performance should make you smile.

I think the 9.3 0-62 time is a red herring! Like the 8.3 for the CTS. So i'd knock off a second or two.

But unless someone has driven one, all we can do is guestimate!

As you say the 0-62 time is probably a red herring. We shall be informed in time I am sure.

Another thing I have noticed is that the press again are giving it a rough ride by comparing it with other super minis speed wise...but sayin only its better on fuel economy.

That was something I was gonna mention, it is quite easy on the old go go juice! Toyota have done a lot of work on their engines to get them to pass Euro IV standards! hence why you can't get the corolla T Sport Euro III OOPS!

Toyota have gone all green, and it will eventually pay off for them! carbon off-sets and all that milarky!
