cant work out though if its having the dvd firmware modded , which i thought was undetectable, playing online with backup game or if it was modding it so you didnt pay for xbox live.

like one of the comments says, microshaft will take a hit on the number of live subscriptions with that seeing as every one i know onit has a modded xbox!! so worldwide it must be 30-40% of users that will not be renewing cos they'll be banned

Yeah, it must be a load of users!!

People are still unsure how it was detected I think. It seems to be a vast amount who were detected were those playing with a copy of crackdown and accessing the Halo beta trial through it!

I'm just glad I got mine from Argos. No quibble return policy. Saying that, I did have an arguement with the manager last time. But got my new box in the end. :)

We paid £40 for the live sub.

Managed to dodge it by reflashing the original firmware, phew.

I never bought copied games, if you look on eBay you can get new releases for under £30.

I like my growing collection to be on display with my CD's and DVD's!
