Yaris Sick When Cold.

Hi everyone, I’m new to this so forgive me if it sounds wrong. I've got a yaris 1.5 sports 2001 which starts first time every time, but when I get 200 yards down the road and stop at a junction the engine revs drops and don't stop dropping until the engine stalls, this keeps on happening until the car has reached running temp. I’ve had three different mechanics look at the problem but they come to three different conclusions, the AA man says it could be air getting in to the system, the Toyota garage says it's a valve problem because the car is LPG converted, My usual mechanic says it's a problem with a sensor but can't identify which one.

Has anyone else had this problem, if so I need your help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you had a modified crankshaft sensor fitted yet? they recalled these a few years ago and one of the problems with them was stalling after cold start .

I would contact you local dealer and get them to check if the recall is due ?

Hope this helps

Are you pulling my leg?!

A Yaris that is LPG converted? Why? What’s the point of having a little sporty car and running it on gas? I’ve never heard anything so crazy! I think the only conversions I know of are on 4x4’s with V8 lumps in them.

How many more miles to the gallon do you get on a T Sport on gas? How much did it cost? How many miles do you have to do to get your conversion money back?

A LPG Yaris :D Now I’ve heard it all
