Hey all new to this site, i have just brought a 6th gen celica had a couple of problems, sorted out one but the other i don't know wonder if someone could provide there expertie advice.

Well brought a 2.0GT frog front shape and the car is no way delivering the power it should do.

I have read the car was a bit sluggish but this is really bad, when changing gear even from first 2 second and say you go over hump you put your foot to floor and car does not shift takes ages to get the revs up.

Now i have took it to garage and had oil changed, air filter changed, glow plugs was going to change but looked new.

The car was idle at 2000rpms so adjusted to be idle at 1000rpms. this made no difference though,

The car has no pick up has anyone had this problem what could it be?

I am getting some other work done tomorrow and looking to take to toyota to check out on friday but if anyone could help id much appricate it

Have you checked to see if the engine is breathing ok as in the air and fuel filters are clean? After that maybe a stuffed catalytic convertor?

Glow plugs  , thats your problem. The car need spark plugs!

Does the car pick up after 5K rpm? The 3sge engine is pretty guttless under this. However it should feel pretty brisk if you keep the revs up high.

After you've checked the filters as suggested above make sure the cambelt is aligned correctly, if not it could be affecting the cars performance.
