Compressor

Should I feel any lift on the compressor? Certainly doesn't run out of steam, but cannot feel any BIG difference as the revs rise, running on 98 RON. (Used to have a Civic Type R, so was expecting something similar)

What are the benefits of resetting ECU? (holding down accelerator with ignition on, till engine management light flashes) I have just done it, and will try her out in the morning. Do I need to do anything special after resetting this?

Cheers in advance

it's the t sport with most lift as this kicks in as the engine is running out of power the compressor has a smoother lift as the compressor keeps the powerband smoother. believe once reset the ecu takes a while to learn the driving caracteristics of the car so give it about 50 miles to "bed in"

As wilber said, there isn't any noticeable kick on the compressor as Toyota decided to smooth out the fun :(

What should I be looking to achieve in the 50 miles after resetting ecu then?

On the plus side there is alot more power before the lift  but I agree its not quite the same

And yeah the ecu reset does nothing, i think its only needed if you use the wrong fuel as apparently it goes into 'safe mode' and wont let the car rev properly and even if 98ron fuel is used after the ecu wont recognise it automatically so it has to be reset to factory settings manually

hope this helps.
