Oil Pressure Gauge

hi ya alll i have got a oil pressure to match the rest off my defi gauges and wanted to no where the best place to get the pressure reading from ? as the oil pressure switch does not look easy to get at! thanks for any help :thumbsup:

TBH putting it in the same place as the stock one is best (its where i read mine from).

if you want to keep the std oil pressure light then you will need a T piece that will take bothe the guage sender and the stock switch this then screws into the head. IIRC its 1/8 NPT but id double check

where abouts in the head is it ? I think its under the inlet mainfold is this true? Cant sell them yet only just got em lol they do look nice in tho :drool:

nah thats the knock sensor.

its on the sde of the head.

follow the top rad hose till it gets to the engine. then look just above the water elbow and youll see a fitting with a single wire, thats the oil pressure switc. 27mm socket required for removal

ok cool thanks for that i was told it was under the manifiold ! i wasnt looking for ward to that but now i no where it easy it will make the job much easyer :yahoo:

As Dawsey said, just on the end of the head next to the coolant outlet, 27mm deep socket, 27mm Diesel Injector socket is ideal...

Best place for it if you start losing pressure the head will be the first place affected as it's furthest away from the pump.
