Gutted for you, I can only begin to imagine how annoyed I'd be if I knew somebody damaged my car intentionally, you must want to rip their throats out. I've heard good reviews from chipsaway who are a nationwide company & apart from that you'd probably be best to just ask people in your area for recommendations of local places. Hope you can sort it cheaply

Yeah you'd lose your no claims- because you don't know who did the damage, your insurance company can't recover the cost from them, so your company would have to pay for it, meaning you'd lose your no claims.

I'd give chipsaway a call, don't know if they can fix such extensive scratching or not, but they'll give you a quote if its something they can fix. Otherwise its bodyshop and lots of cash.

Thats well bad. I'm sorry to hear about ya misfortune. :censor: Look on the bright side... soon you'll have the car looking spanking new and you'll be able to give it a nice polish. Just with a lighter wallet.

I know someone who has had their bonnet sratched. Not as bad as this example and chipsaway told him they told do bonnets!

they damage your car and the police do nothing, you sort it out yourself with a cricket bat, theyre straight around your house to see you. just doesnt seem right at all.

Halfords claim to offer a scratch repair service from £75....................It might be an idea to check them out

I wouldn't take a push bike to Halfrauds for any repairs let alone my pride and joy. They probably have some work experience chump out the back with a touch up pen and a bit of wet and dry.

someones keyed my car about 4 months ago, right across my boot lid and bit on my rear passenger side bumper, then about a month ago i found black paint on my rear bumper passenger side where someone has swiped my baby.

i know how you feel :(

I have seen some of the scratch repair work done by Halfords and you honestly could not tell the difference from a brand new car.

Their bodywork repairs are done very professionally by fully qualified technicians with many years of experience.

[ I have no connection with Halfords BTW]

Still, there's no point going through a middleman - why pay Halfords a cut when whoever they use is probably in the Yellow Pages anyway?

Would an extensive and unique polish or company which deals with such things be able to help in this situation? Maybe not 100%, but might be much better and you dont have to respray at all...

Sorry to see the damage.... they are mindless :censor:

Bruv, don't mess about with chips away etc, they normally do a 'smart repair' which isn't smart at all. I'm based in Manchester, there is an EXCELLENT body shop near strangeways prison its called MANCHESTER CAR REFURBISHMENT (MCR) its on Chevot Street.

They do a fantastic job and have a quick turnaround also. They are very reasonable too.

I would not trust any other place!!! Their finish is second to none, no orange peel etc.. It is a family run business and over 90% of their work is referrals. I always recommend them to anyone who needs anything doing bodywork wise to their car.

If you do take it down for a quote you'll see why they are the best!!!!

If you need any more info gimme a shout :yahoo:
