Wobble On Stearing Wheel At High Speed

I have a MR2 1991.

When I go to 70mph, I get a wobble on the stearing, almost as if the wheels are not balanced. However, this wobble appears to come and go.

Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, advice? Ever heard or seen this before?

on the same bits of road? The MR2 likes to tramline, especialy on fat rubber .. usually the inside lane of the m'ways are bad due to HGV trucks and the ruts in the road

just to answer the questions so far.

it appears to happen on any part of the road or any surface, but comes and goes. Will look out the next time I go for a long run, but low speeds seem to be ok.

with regards to balancing. I presume that is wheel balancing? Or is there something (a newbie) should know about the mr2 etc.

thanks so far folks.

MR2's are very sensitive to the full setup (toe in/out/camber) especially the older ones.

Get a 4 wheel alignment, and all 4 wheels balanced.

Still got problems, then it'll be the road.

Have a look at Dino's site for the setup parameters.

Just got all 4 wheels balanced and tracked, just need to get some open road. Need to get bushes sorted first, this was another prob.

Cheers.
