Air Filter

Looked up the air filter catalogue in Halfords for wifes D-4D, 'ask at parts desk'. Parts desk quoted 1-2 days £25. Went on eBay, could only find filters for 1.0, 1.3 vvti. Compared my 1.0 filter with wife's D-4D, they are exactly the same size albeit slightly different 'honeycombe' design, one or both may be non-Toyota. Bought filter off eBay advertised as for 1.0, 1.3 only (£7). Put 1.0 petrol filter into wife's 1.4 D-4D.

When should I expect the car to shudder to a halt?

Wouldnt it have been easier just to get the correct one from a dealer, they are only about £13

Yep .... also have to say to go to Toyota.

You may just be pleasantly surprised by how competetive some of the genuine Toyota service parts are.

It is ALLWAYS worth checking

£13 for an air filter is a bit dear.

I get pattern ones for a fiver, but im soon to get an induction kit anyway.

I dont think itll damage your car putting in a petrol one instead of a diesel one lol its all the same thing really as long as it fits in the airbos properly thats all that matters.
