Replacing 97 - 03 Pollen Filters - How ? !

Hi all

Following advice from the forum, whipped out and cleaned the two Pollen filters today (non-air con model), struggling a bit behind the Clutch pedal.

However, try as I might I cant get them to both go back in !

They are both the right way up, but its proving very tricky

There seems to be a "track" in the car, possibly for the filters to go on, Trouble is there is one track, and two filters !.

Any help most gratefully received

you will find one of the filters has a plastic tab on the side this is so you can insert the filter and slide upwards then the other filter will slide underneith so that the two filters end up sitting on top of each other hope this helps

AHA !

Armed with that very salient point, managed to fit the filters in.

Obvious really as both filters had muck on one side and not the other (how could that be if they were side by side? ).

Swine of a job to line up the top filter and hold it in place while I put the other one in though.

Took the best part of an hour
