C'mon Toyota ,we need another 3 door Rav4,but make it look like that LR above,more of a proper off roader !.

Slightly boxier & tougher please...maybe even with low range !

That way.....they may keep my custom,in time to come.

Then Toyota need to bring in the FJ cruiser- the L/R is a copy of it.

If you've got £32,000 burning a hole in your back pocket you can get a 3 door Land Cruiser! :P

I read the new model rav will be just one model.

The rav no options no addons, apart from the Toyota bonus points crap stuff :D

I've been considering either a 3dr shogun,or a 3 door LC Colorado for a while now.

Unfortunatly.....my pockets just arn't deep enough for the fuel consumption.

I reckon i would touch on £80 per week on fuel with either of them......ouch !

....operative term being "hanging off the back door", Dave....is the spare wheel attached or is it being towed....? Is that an aerodynamic aid space, or a trim tolerance at LR....?

Incoming......

Spare wheel looks better from the back .. And Errr is better than not having one at all ....

LandRover-Concepts-5312121018405041600x1060.jpg

Looks a bit like the latest Shogun from the front...

LandRover-Concepts-5312121018413321600x1060.jpg

Interior has some nice touches.....

LandRover-Concepts-531212102469561600x1060.jpg

But looks more like a farmers tool and is a bit basic in its finish...

It does look like a " Farmers Tool", probably because it is a replacement for the Defender.

I like that utilitarian look though,i do like the LR defender 90,but when i drove one about 3 years ago.

It felt so cramped inside & as for resting you arm on the window ledge......because it was too tight,was just plain silly.

I could'nt stretch my legs out ( i really hated that ).

Now when i owned my LC 3 door Colorado " Y " plate ( Before the rav & when fuel was cheaper)....it were great,it felt tough,tough.tough & bombproof.

Should have kept it,but running costs would have been high now though.

In a previous life as a Balloonist, and driving various 4WD retrieve vehicles fairly regularly, I always found the Defender much easier for negotiating tight farm gateways and narrow farm and woodland tracks - actually appreciated the 'slim build' in those situations as compared to the LC. I was always a bit aprehensive of scraping the LC.

I agree with Clare. The LR looks like a take on the original and best - FJ Cruiser;

Except it has a sensible interior;

Still has a spare wheel;

...........and they even do a girlie one Clare;

My personal alternative to the Rav . . .although a bit of a flying brick is

LM002Main.jpg

The Rambo Lambo . . . Cool 6L V12 Under the hood (Straight out of the Countach ;) ) and nowadays can be had for around 100 Grand . . .Of course Tyres are a bit of an issue . . . Pirelli make them to special order . . . and it's a three month turn around

One SUV I fancied having but never came to the UK officially was the Honda Element.

Not sure exactly why, just had some thing about it and wold have swapped the HR-V for it I think.
