Avensis D4d Fuel Pump

i'm about to add a Dragon Performance Tuning Unit to my 05 Avensis D4D T Spirit, at least i'd like to!! Rather sheepishly, i am going to have to admit to knowing nothing about what is what under the bonnet of my car, and thus I need help in identifying where (and what it looks like) the fuel pump is!

Can anyone help?

I opened the bonnet today to be greeted by a big black plastic 'cover' with the word "Avensis" across it, and couldn't even see down into the engine! So, once identified, how do i get to it??

Feel rather silly asking such questions, but i'm a computer techie, not a mechanic, so i just drive the thing!

Thanks in advance

Tx2 you arent looking for the fuel pump you are looking for the common rail which supplies the fuel u need to take the cover off the engine, the plastic cover that is and its under there, if in doubt get someone to do it for you, not worth damaging the car , let me know how u get on with it cos i just bought one too!

What's it look like?!? Common Rail? Is it a clearly identified part, or a wire, or what? Sorry, I'm a numpty when it comes to stuff under the bonnet! Buying this device on the advice of a colleague, but they aren't familiar with the Avensis engine layout.

Have you fitted it yet? How have you found it? Has it improved performance?

So many questions!

I've cancelled my order with them!! Was promised delivery last Saturday, but of course thing never arrived. Got a really sarcy email off of "Kevin" - lucky he isn't local to me otherwise i'd have gone down there and smacked him one! Just ensuring my refund goes through, then they are going to get some stinging feedback on eBay!!

I will never deal with them again, good luck with yours - i'm leaving my Avensis as is for now, it's still under manufacturer warranty, so i'd rather not invalidate that to be honest. Glad Dragon proved to be such idiots as it gave me a bit of thinking time!

Hi Nick

Did you ever fit your unit? I am thinking about installing one on my Avensis and wanted to know what your experiences with the company and the unit itself were like.

Regards

Andrew
