I've started using BP Ultimate Diesel for my 2007 T 180 and what a difference, both in fuel consumption and more importantly performance !! - thought you T180 drivers might be interested. Has anyone else found the same ??

Ps don't work for or being paid commission by BP !!!!

IMHO Shell V Power Diesel is the business for mine for exactly the same reasons.

Being rolled out nationwide at at Shell forecourt near you this summer.

It's been made for the 'performance' diesel engine and actually does what it says on the tin.

ps not a Shell employee or agent either!!!

Must admit overhere on the IOM you can,t buy BP derv. It,s either Shell or Total, the latter I use in mine, I used to rave on about Shell derv but I now use Total. It,s about 10p a litre dearer than in the UK but I do get better MPG than Shell. We don,t have any Motorways but on open limit roads there is no speed restritions, and NO speed cameras!!!

ps and at the moment 1000,s of motorbikes- yes 1000,s

Since having all my fuel lines and injectors cleaned, been getting excellent mpg...generally stick to BP as this seems the best.....

PS and I do work for all the oil companies so I'm not biased ;) ;) ;) ;)

My Toyota RAV 4 T180 has only about 1500 miles on the clock. I have a Tesco about 1 minutes drive away and I have used their diesel against BP and I have to say the claims of about 10%/15% better fuel consumption/noise are about right. This has to be weighed against the additional costs!

Tesco diesel is about 96p per litre and BP about £1.03p locally so not too much difference!

Unless you are a high miler, I am never quite sure why people worry so much about fuel costs! People never think twice about paying extra for a few more pints one evening at the pub ( not driving of course ) and on an average fuel tank, the difference in price is no more than an extra pint or so a week.

I say go for the best that you can afford!

If you refer to my item on the noisy clutch/gearbox and assistance in noise levels preferable.

I allways notice a marked difference when I fill up with BP diesel, I also do work for all the major oil companies but have no loyalty to any of them. (with the profits they make ! no chance).

Cheers,

Dave.
