Another Radio Problem

Matty in Cayman

Hi there people! my wiff and i have just imported a '95 RAV 4 to Grand Cayman from Japan and as usual all the stereo will pick up is the God squad channel (that and the fact it's a tape deck and not a cd player with an external input socket!!!)! soooooo, bought a new pioneer for it but when i took the old stereo out was a trifle flummmaxed, what with the crazy colour coding and the fact there was another positive feed from the ignition loom just hanging there and scott-locked into the loom for the stereo

was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to pass on the relevant electrical schematics or would it just be easier to buy a joining loom to link the new stereo to the existing loom????

please remember i live on G.Cayman and it took 6 and a bit months just to get the car here from Japan  so getting what would seem quite ordinary items is sometimes not worth the effort!!!!!

hopefully

don't worry we've sorted it out now! thanks for all your help!! :censor: if i knew this was just a forum for gear heads who are only interested in putting spoilers on cars that don't need them and putting stooooopid lights on them to make things look pretty then i wouldn't have bothered!

Oh dear, you're clearly going stir crazy all on your own there in Grand Cayman!!!!! :goof:

Hope it takes less than 6 and a bit months for you to import yourself a more pleasant attitude.........

Not too sure which part of the forum you've been perusing but my T180 sure ain't in your spoilers and wings category.

Perhaps instead of installing a new radio to listen to the vast number of stations you pick up on G.C. you need to lash some empty barrels to your 95 import and get the hell offa that there island to save you from the hallucinatons you're having!!!!!

Don't forget to send us a thread so we can help you with the best locations for lashing your barrels on??? :help2:

Matty,

I think your being way out of line here, you freely admit that it takes 6 months to get something due to your location. Yet you want an answer from here in 6 days ! Members on here give advice and help voluntarily in their OWN time. If the relevant members who could help with this problem have not been on line, then thats unfortunate. I think you could have been a bit more patient and some of the more technically minded members would have helped. You could also have tried a search for older threads as I am sure this problem has came up before. Anyway I dont think your attitude has done you any good, if you are not happy with this forum maybe you should try Rav 4 World.

Dave. (no spoiler, no pretty lights)

What an unpleasant boy!! Be sure that when you lash the oil drums to your raft there are some substantial holes in the waterline area!! I am sure that your wiff ? deserves better! :yahoo:

If you want an honest answer or some good advise from other members.....Then they will gladly help out...but reacting like you have has only alienated yourself from ever getting any...

We can only hope that the tidal streams only push you further away from ever reaching mainland UK......

Take this flaming as an example of bad forum etiquette............

Have a good day now

O and Vauxhall will be bringing out a Corsa 4X4...I think this will be right up your street, spoilers, spotlights and loud radios..........Chavtastic....

Well done Biton!!!

I fear your assistance to Mr Angry of Grand Cayman may be in vain now!!

Maybe thats the reason for the recent increase in Hurricanes in the Caribbean - High Pressure in The Caymans!!!!!

Cheers Dave!!

I make you and Chatman right though I guess I've been a tad less diplomatic than either of you!! :!Removed!:

There are plenty of owners on here with a combined level of knowledge that must be frightening even for Toyota!! There aren't many subjects I've seen, which have gone unsolved or unremarked upon, (some of which have been unbelievably technical), which is pretty !Removed! good I think!! :yahoo:

Especially when you remember IT IS FREE AND IN THE MEMBERS' OWN TIME

I guess Matty will have to hope he doesn't have any other matters he needs assistance with over there in The Caymans, I've been a few years back and can't remember seeing a Rav at all, (Plenty of American stuff, Scooters and Suzuki Jeeps), so he'll need to be a bit more hospitable and possibly even eat a bit of humble pie before anyone on here may want to help him out in the future.

Can't believe he was so stressed, no one I know from over there has anything to get stressed about!!!!!! :afro::afro::afro:
