Handbrake Cable

In the process of changinig the Hand brake cable on my Mum's 2002 02 Yaris 1.0L and getting confused! The original cables have a rubber bung thing on the end with the spring that goes into the Drum, but all the replacement cables I've seen so far have had a metal plate at this end. Is it just the case that I need to find the version of the cable with the rubber bung on it, or are you expected to replace this with the other cable attaching it somehow differently?!?!?

Any pointers would be handy ;)

Sorry not sure. Is it a gen toyota cable or aftermarket one? If everything else is the same (fittings, length etc etc) you could try swapping the rubber bungs over and fitting it.

If it isnt a gen toyota part have you rang your dealers to see what they will charge? Sometimes these things are cheaper than you expect.
