Radio No Sound

hello everyone this is my first post

got a yaris and the radio does'nt seem to be working, the display works but with no sound can anyone help, please

Sorry to state the obvious , but have you tried turning the volume up?

Plus what about a CD/tape?

tape player and cd work but still no sound and i have tried turning it up

Not sure if it works both ways but give this a shot .....

On the yaris you can push the volume knob to have it in or out - i'm not sure if you can adjust the volume of the radio if it is pushed in?

Maybe someone else can check this, but if not push the volume knob and if it is in it should pop out and allow you to adjust the volume.

Also put in a cd when trying this as it's easier to problem solve as you could have a problem with your radio and not your unit.

If that doesn't help you could try the balance and fading settings incase it has been changed and is set on a broken speaker ....... after that I would take the dash apart and see if the cables are plugged in correctly.
