Avensis 2007 Pop-out Cup Holder

Does anybody know how sturdy the dash-mounted pop-out cup holder is on the 07 Avensis? I should be getting my Avensis 1.8 Auto in a day or two (having waited 3 months!!!!) and was thinking about getting a cup holder mounted MP3/PDA holder........something like

but wasn't sure if they would be suitable for the pop-out holder? (The second one is shown being used in a pop-out cup holder)

Well If you waited for 3 months then I suggest you wait for a day or two untill you get your car and then you can try it before you buy it and see.

The design of the pop-out cup holder actually allows it to be used as an iPod/PDA holder anyway, all you need to do is put an elastic band or hair scrunchy around the bottom end of the holder and iPod to hold it in place.
