I'm beginning to wonder if I've gone a bit mad as I've got a new Aygo+ MMT comin on Thurs and I haven't even driven one. The dealership only had a Yaris MMT which I did drive but rather than wait I decided to buy the Aygo without driving one altho now I'm getting a bit concerned. I know the dash of the Aygo is far more basic, I've seen the Manual model, but I was just wondering does it tell u anywhere what gear you're in?

I'm part excited part nervous cos I'm not sure what to expect!!

Hello, that is risky buying a car without driving it but hopefully you should love the Aygo. There is a gear display on the dashboard next to the fuel gauge which tells you what gear you are in.

Yay... I kinda hoped it would. I can just concentrate on being excited now....

Bought my Aygo+ MMT last may and believe me its fantastic, and if you feel like you want to be a 'real driver' switch over to manual and go back and forth through the gears without any fear of stalling!!

You'll soon realise that you don't need all those fancy clocks and gadgets in the car (I previously had a 2.5 ltr Rover 75) and the best thing about this care is every time you pull into the petrol station (which isn't often) it will leave you with a smile on your face when your clocking up about 50/60mpg.

Enjoy

I've been driving it for a week now n I do love it, done 250 miles n still have more than half a tank left! I'd say it's not as smooth as a normal automatic when in easy mode in the lower gears but apart from that it's a joy flicking from E to M depending on how lazy I'm feeling... keep forgetting I'm not in a normal auto n trying to kickdown then I remember I can be in whatever gear I want I don't need to kick down... is takin some gettin used to tho..

No question, MMT is one the best feature of the Aygo !

I would even say in my personal case a "Needs to have"

i am driving 1H30 each way to work and back every day and the driving is a different pleasure,

you can really drive cool even with heavy traffic jam with not being tired with foot & hand to struggle every 10sec

to change !

I drive mine for 16000KM and i can assure you i would never change back to manual for an everyday city driven car !

Thank you AYGO !

We have a MMT Aygo. Super little car. When we first got it, we found that it seemed jerky compared to a 'normal' automatic. However after a year, one adapts one's style . A slight lift of the power at the right moment lets the box change. Never use manual now! Also quite good sport to see how low a speed you can encourage it to change into fifth at. 43mph seems to be the best I can manage!
