How can you tell the difference between the 1 litre and 1.3 litre just by looking at the engine because as I am thinking of doing a coolant change the Haynes states the drain plug is on the front of the 1Litre and to the rear on the 1.3, well my motor is a 1.3 (well i dam well hope so!!)but the drain is on the front it also shows a power steering resevoir but I cant see one on mine, can anyone help me out?

Ah well, I guess no one knows. Anyway my mind has been put at rest by looking at the handbook. The haynes is a bit confusing saying the drain on 1.3 's are on the rear mine is a 1.3 and its on the front, The french built 1.3 are very similar too the 1 L ( The same cast iron block) so the drain is on the same side, (the front) Haynes should have said this to stop confusion.

Glad you sorted it fella!

How is the Haynes manual for the Yari, any good? I don't know if it's just me but in a lot of them books they seem to over estimate what a lot of novice car owners can actualy do to there cars on there own?

i could tell you weatrher it was a 1.0 or 1.3 engine with a pic but couldnt really describe it off the top of my head.

even then you need to be carful as i think there are different lump models on the 1.3.

essentially the 1.3 pretty much takes up the full engine bay (look pretty much identical to the 1.5 too if that helps) were as the 1.0 dosnt
