No Signal

Hi,

I have fitted a new radio in my Yaris but I wont automatically tune in stations. It doesnt even find my iPod Transmitter. I have to manually tune it in. Broadcast signal is very weak. My standard radio had a tough time in finding a clear reception.

What could be wrong? I have changed my aerial to a long beesting one because the one that came with the car was really short.

check for water ingress into bottom of aerial around grommet if water gets in it rusts the wires and disrupts it also deprnds on were you stay have seen info on toyota intranet about built up areas with phone masts and such disrupting radio signals

Tried an aerial from my brothers Micra and the signal was perfect. Where can I get these standard long aerials?
