Running Problems

Hey guys got a couple of problems with the 4,

first off the exhuast is blowen i dont know if this affects the other things but i thought id mention it.

here goes,

wen u first switch the car on after when cold it hesitates and revs at 1k for a a minute or so then splutters its way to 2k way it sits until the temp is up slighty. but its fine wen i drive off after letting it sit however when i switch it on n drive off straight away it really struggles to go and gradually builds up power.

2nd thing, The car is fitted with an electronic boost controller and i have it set most of the itme to 10 psi n it will boost up to that and stay there but wen i incrase the boost to 15psi it boosts up to 15 n drops back down rite away to 10 or below.

also, It has only been doing this for the last few days, When i put the foot down it boosts up to 5psi( set to 10psi ) n starts to splutter n hesitate, kind of like when there is water in the air intake, and doesnt go up much further than 6psi but does continue to accelerate until i take the foot off the gas.

Should be reving at about 1200 - 1500 RPM - ish when cold.

First, get it serviced. decent plugs dizzy cap, rotor arm. Check the condition of the leads, if in doubt renew. & get the exhaust sorted. Probably not the cause of the problem, but it'll be one thing less to worry about. If it still does it after you've done that, then disconnect the EBC and see what occurs. TBH I think it's more of an ignition related problem. Could be wrong though.
