Intrigued By My Tourer.

Hi Folks

I have a 2006 T3-x Tourer. Its Fab !.

BUT...

I have noticed on the rear side windows (where the boot loadspace is) that only one of the windows has the de-mist "wires" printed on them. Intriguingly, its on the DRIVERS side that they appear. I simply cannot see that window at all from the drivers position or rearview mirror. I would have thought it would have been on the passanger side as that one I can see - but its not. I have activley taken up "Avensis Spotting" and see that this asymmetry is common to the range of tourer model trims.

Does any one have a hypothesis as to why Mr T has done it this way around?

Thanks

S

No doubt it is cost-cutting just like indicator stalks on the left, one part fits all. The set-up you describe would make perfect sense in a LHD model. Presumably more LHD cars than RHD cars are sold, so Mr T just sticks with making the one window design heated.
