Converting Display From Kms To Miles

Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum and also the owner of a new '07 Avensis Tourer - this was an import from Ireland where they are now all in kilometers, hence the speedo, odometer and trip meter are all in kms.

This model is a basic spec 2.0litre diesel with the small orange data display in the rev counter

The owners manual suggests that it is possible to reset the display to miles but having tried this I find that although I can change the clock there is no option to change units.

I can live with the speedo in kms and probably the odeometer but I cant get my head around the litres per 100km fuel consumption.

Does anyone know if this can be changed or do I have to reprogram my brain?

Shouldn't be too difficult. Do you have the owners manual? It's explained in there.

Hi, thanks for the tip but my problem is that the owners manual suggests that it is possible to reset the display (using the DISP button on the steering wheel), I can navigate succesfully to reset the clock - however as my model is an import from Ireland the menu option for MILES is not there to be chosen!
