Avensis Wheels

I am in the process of changing out my ageing 2000/W Avensis GLS Estate with a new style 2003/53 T4 Tourer. The old car had 195/60/R15 wheels and I had a set of spare steel wheels with snow tyres on them for winter usage up here in the far North East. The new car will have 215/45/R17 tyres. Both wheels have 5 bolt pattern and the circumference of both tyres is roughly the same so it should not effect the speedo too much. Question is are the bolt patterns the same? PCD, Hole Size and Offset? I dont have the new car yet so cant simply try them out. Need to know if I should hang on to the snow tyres and wheels or e-bay them?

Previous posts have suggested that the stud pattern and PCD are the same but that the offset is different. I recall someone doing something simillar to what you want to do and having to put 5mm spacers between the wheel and the hub.

Thanks for that. I think I read that somewhere as well. Dont like the idea of spacers but have commited to the new car now anyway so will just wait and try them out in due course.
