hi i am currently rebuilding a 92 model celica engine, and was wonderingwhat is the best method to break it in is.there are two methods i am aware of, and thats

1drive it slowly and let everything break inor,

2let it warm up andput it under load several times to seat the rings.

has anyone done the latter,orhave any info on it.

Just drive it normally, without caning it. oil & filter change at 1000 miles and again at 3000 miles. Should be fine. After that drive it how you like. :thumbsup:

drive it mildly. as much as possible do not exceed 4000rpm. and don't put much pressure on the accelerator

Build everything up nice and slowly. Low revs and low loads (i.e. as little full throttle acceleration as possible)

over the first few thousand miles miles or so gradually start building that up.

By the time you've got a few thousand miles on the engine you actually should rev the nuts of it but this should be towards the few thousand mile or so limit I mentioned above
