Thunder Grey

Am I right in thinking you only find Thunder Grey on T Sports (Corolla, Celica and Yaris) and Yaris Colour Collections?

I was wondering if it was a TS only colour as couldn't remember seeing any none TS cars in the colour, searched Auto Trader and those were all that came up...

You are correct!

But there is a colour in the Avensis range that is very similar, but not quite the same.

Thunder Grey is an awesome colour... Its almost dual tone?

Thunder Grey? Mr T calls mine "Alsace Granite"!!!

You can get Thunder Grey on the Corolla SR.

There's one near me that i thought was a CTS at first thanks to the T Sport styling they added to it!!

I think Alsace Granite is different. It's a really dark grey:

Whereas Thunder Grey is a lighter, silvery, goldy, grey:

Come to think of it I'm not sure I've seen any facelift Corollas in Thunder Grey.

Too be honest i only ever sold used t-sports in grey and only ever got them part exchange in grey it must be the only colour lol. I have to say that i find grey t-sports a hard colour to sell and of all the t-sports and compressors we have had the grey ones seem to take a while to shift. We have had both our t-sports in grey in stock for a long time. When you have a car for 3 months sitting on the forecourt, it becomes over age stock as we call it in the trade, the grey t-sports have both been over-aged stock. Personally i think they look good in red and would have liked to see the compressor in red too! You can't go wrong with black on the corolla!

Yeah i have a black corolla but always fancied the red ones too to be honest. Just stand out a bit more i think.

I had one of the first T-Sports back in '02 and Thunder Grey was only available for that model, so, that's what I had

I've got a 02 plate T-Sport in Island Green. Bet you don't see many of those!

I have never seen a green t sport but i am sure thats for a reason lol. Green by its nature is never going to be popular, however, saying that, its a nieche market maybe? Perhaps an old man with a smoking jacket might want green? :yahoo:

Have seen carlo blue ones before, I am not a fan of carlo blue i think toyota do better blues - mind you ixion blue is dreadful. I sold loads of Ixion blue corollas to people over 60! :toast:

I still stick to black, red, silver steel. But thats what choice is for, to each their own lol - anyway its a t-sport what difference does it make on colour?

Black has been scientifically proven to be on average 7% cooler than any other colour and therefore 7% faster \o/ :D

I saw a green t-sport today, driven by an old man. What a odd sight!

Green is a strange colour to see on a CTS.
