Brake Discs/pads? Anyone Used Omp Pads?

thinking of doing the brakes soon!

what discs have you guys used on the front and rear and where do you get the best prices?

also has anyone used OMP pads? how do you rate them?

what pads would you reccomend?

Recommendations from me are Black Diamond drilled & Grooved discs on the front [code KB1209D] (not replaced the rear discs but it's a job that needs doing) and EBC Green Stuff on each corner. A lot of people say the Endless pads are very good, but they cost a fortune so I stuck with the Green Stuff.

I think Brakes4u have decent prices on pads.

I don't have any experience on OMP gear so I can't comment on that, sorry.

do you know if black diamond do grooved only discs? as i'm not a fan of drilled brake discs

Yes they do, and I think they come in about £20 cheaper than the drilled & Grooved ones

EDIT: OK I just looked back a few pages and found where I got the discs from and it was Europerformance. They had the best price (at the time) for the combi discs and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing them selling just grooved versions :)

yeah mate they are on eBay, OMP stuff seems to be pretty good but i can't say i've ever used their brake pads!

One thing I'll say is that I doubt very much they are as bad as the OE pads so any you put on will be a big improvement

I can seriously recommend the greenstuff pads from ebc! They do reduce the amount of dust! which is a benefit i feel cause i can't always be :censor: to wash my car lol

Only joking i was her regularly, i just don't have to sepnd so long on the alloys now! phew
