Hi there, Wonder if any Tecnic on here could tell me if you can replace the Oxygen sensors on a Toyota Avensis 18vvti , 2001, With a universal type sensor, I know some you cant eg a Leanburn Carina. But these look quiet different with 1Blue 1White and 2Black wires. The two sensors at the manifold have a different fitting to the one after the CAT. It would seen a lot less expensive if it was possible, so any advise would be welcome. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, I had a problem with my Lambda sensors on my 1.8 vvti, but the garage I took it to fitted toyota ones at £130 each. I have seen them on the internet for roundabout £60 (not toyota obviously) but I have been told they do not last as long as geniune ones. Was also told they could throw allsorts of fault codes up on computer. Having said that I would have given them a go if I was given a choice. Hope this is helpful in some way. Jed.
