How Many Different 1.6 Engines For '99 Corolla

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me. I need to replace my engine in my 1999 corolla. I was told there is more than one 1597cc engine for that year. If there is, how do I know which one I need? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

For original UK model 99 corolla's you might have one of two 1.6 engines, if a non-facelifted model (AE111 frog-eyes single head light) there is the 4A-FE and for the facelifted models (AE112 twin head light) there is the 3ZZ-FE hope this clears things up
