Hi, I am new to this site but need some advice about my Avensis. Having had this car from new it has never given a days worry until this last MOT when it failed on the emmision test. Because the car is in good condition I was advised I needed to replace the engine (7AFE) I bought a second hand one but it didn't fit. So I am now left with a second engine I can't use, and still no solution to my original problem. Contacted Toyota and they said it would not be worth putting a new engine in (even if I could afford one), and they did not do reconditioned ones. Other than paying another company more than the car is worth for a recon' engine I am at a stalemate. So if anyone has an engine that works and will fit I could be interested, [edit] [/edit] Thanks Alson
