Leather Re-trim

Where from, how much and will it look alright?

Anyone had this done in their rolla, its on my to-do list with my motor just fancied having a gander at someone that has already had it sorted, looking to spend no more than about 500 sheets, or alternatively will look to throw a couple of buckets in the driver and passenger space, leave the back as is.

Any opinions on the matter greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I think that a re-trim would look good (depending on colour of leather) but I think it will cost more than £500 more around £700.

I wouldn't change for bucket seats because you will lose the side airbags and to me its quite important to keep them!

but again just my opinion, good luck with what you choose!

smoftah is right, colour is the key !

There may be places that can retrim for 500 quids, but I would be suspicious of such a cheap price. Like most things in life you get what you pay for. Better leather, workmanship etc costs more, but lasts.

Another option is if there was a similar model corolla that came with leather as standard and you could maybe pick up a second hand interior.

( don't park in the sun if you get leather - painful, especially in shorts ! )

Or call around a few breakers and see if they have any E12s with leather trim. My friend got his car fitted out with leather seats for £350 doing it this way whereas the vehicle manufacturer wanted about £1600 to do the job.
