Hi there.

I seem to have a problem with he central locking and alarm system. I have had a look through the manual but cannot seem to solve the problem.

I went out to my car this morning and pressed the unlocking key. The car did not respond. I then unlocked it with the key in the door and this worked. However, the alarm went off (very quietly) and the lights flashed for about 20 seconds. After this, I was able to start the car as normal.

When I got out of the car at my destination, I got out and tried to lock the car using the button on the key..this worked ok.

It therefore seems that I can lock it with the button but I have to unlock it with the key! It seems very strange that it works one way but not the other!

I have tried to resynchronise the key by following the instructions in the manual- but to no avail.

Before I get a car electrician out, I would like to make sure that there is nothing that I can do to solve the problem..I thought I would ask you experts on here!
